Ragi Darshan Singh Fails the Panthic Challenge, Fails to Show Up

Posted in Late Breaking News by Panthic Weekly Editors on the January 31st, 2008

The controversial ragi Darshan Singh failed to show up for the challenge set by Panthic organizations at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Sabo-ki-Talwandi on January 31st.    Instead, he took out a paid advertisement in a fringe newspaper touting that the validity of certain Nitem Banis could be debated by a particular panel and if accepted those could be recited for Rahit purposes. Furthermore, he hinted that he would not accept the challenge set by Panthic organizations.

Panthic activists stated that the Nitnem Banis written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji are already accepted in the Sikh Panth, and do not need any debating by such faithless synics.  They criticized Darshan Singh for not showing up for the Panthic challenge, and labeld him a mere ‘paper tiger’, and hollow puppet of the anti-Sikh organizations.

After the ragi failed to show up, several Gurmattas were passed at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.  Details, and pictures of the of the function will be available soon…

Rapist Sadh Rejected by East and West Coast

Posted in Late Breaking News by Panthic Weekly Editors on the January 7th, 2008

Panthic Volunteers gather oustide the Sacramento, California Gurdwara Sahib

Sacramento, CA (KP) - Internationally known rapist and Panthic criminal, saadh Maan Pehowa, discretely landed in New York last week and then traveled to California only to find out he was still a persona non grata in most public Gurdwara Sahibs in the East and West Coast.   Hoping for better a friendlier reception, the sadh is reportedly now heading towards to the Indiana area.

No ‘clean chit’

In an attempt to fool innocent members of the public, his followers are claiming that the sadh was given a ‘clean chit’ by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and that all the Gurdwaras are now allowing him to use their stage.  In reality, no such clearance was ever given by the Takht, and nor has any Panthic Gurdwara Sahib allowed him on stage in North America in the last several years. As before, the only places he is allowed to perform is at private residences and deras.

This weekend, during the Parkash Divas celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, his followers attempted to set up his program at the Sacramento Sikh Society, Sacramento on Bradshaw Road in Sacramento, California.  This Gurdwara Sahib is popularity known as Gurdwara Sahib Bradshaw.

Baba rejected by  the Sangat and Committee

Upon learning about this plan, Panthic volunteers and activists immediately mobilized plans to block the rapist sadh and sexual predator from utilizing the public Gurdwara stage for his personal use.  The Sangat vowed that they would not allow the rapist baba on any Panthic platform in California.  They handed documents and evidence to the Gurdwara committees that detailed the crimes against this charlatan.   To the concerned Sangat’s satisfaction, the committee outrightly rejected the use of its premises by the controversial saadh.   Sangat members thanked the committee members for upholding the proper maryada of the Gurdwara Sahib and keeping in mind the interests of the larger Panth.

The shameless saadh who is accused of sexually molesting and raping a number of his women followers, including minors, has left India to temporarily avoid being summoned by the Punjab and Haryana High courts for the various rape cases pending against him.   In the past he has successfully silenced his victims using extortion and intimidation tactics, but his latest victims has vowed to bring him to justice.

On his vist in 2006, he was greeted with ‘garlanded’ shoes and ‘rapist baba go home’ signs at the San Francisco Airport by protesting Sangat.  He was not allowed hold a program at a single Gurdwara during his last trip to California, which was continually dogged by protests.
