CBI Orders Rape charges to be filed against Dera chief
 A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ambala ordered rape charges to be filed against Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
The Dera chief, who was to make an appearance in court on on 6th July, failed to make himself present citing health reasons.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was to appear before court in connection with the sexual exploitation of Dera ’sadhvis’ and murders of journalist Ram Chander Chhatarpati & Dera manager Ranjit Singh. Gurmeet Ram Rahim is also facing serious charges under Section 295 of IPC for hurting Sikh sentiments.
The CBI filed chargesheets in the sexual exploitation case and two murder cases in October 2007. Chargesheet was filed in the CBI court against the Dera chief and seven others.
