Khalsa Press non-profit launches The Panthic Network

Posted in General News by Panthic Weekly Editors on the September 1st, 2008

San Francisco, California (KP) — Khalsa Press is pleased and honored to announce the launch of the all new Panthic Network. Sevadars have been working hard behind the scenes for months to make this launch possible.

Our goal is to provide accurate Panthic oriented news and information to our worldwide audience, while still providing the quality content and services that we have been providing as Waheguroo! Network for the last decade. We hope you enjoy the new look and feel of our member sites. Many additions have been made to the news, media and community sections. All are encouraged to browse through network pages and experience the changes for themselves.

Some additional sites such as SikhiPedia, Dusht Daman, Unicode Hukamnama, Panthic.FM and adSikh have been added. All sites on the Panthic Network are provided as a service of Sikh community.

The Network is very excited to announce the “one login” system that allows you to access all the different sites using the same username and password.  This means that all sites have been integrated to allow for login through your eight year old Waheguroo! Network login.  We would appreciate any constructive feedback, and apologize for and hope to resolve any bugs/glitches in due time.

The Panthic Network is a volunteer-based group of gurmat-oriented services, organizations and individuals from around the world.  Founded in 2000 as Waheguroo! Network by the creators of some of the first Sikh websites ever, Panthic Network was built due to an increasing need for unity in the Sikh community and appropriate representation of the Sikh teachings and values. Websites affiliated with the network are dedicated to gurmat propagation, which is based on the principles taught and lived by the Gurus.

For the past decade, the Waheguroo! Network was run entirely by volunteers with the help of donations.  As we foresee a greater need for Panthic projects to grow, for the very first time, the Network will allow advertising through sponsors which are not contrary to Gurmat. Network sevadars will continue to work on different projects on a voluntary basis and all the revenues generated will be used solely to pay for the propagation of Gurmat. Our advertising service will allow businesses to market themselves to millions of viewers all around the world while also supporting a good cause.

While the top navigation bar is now available on all network sites, for ease of viewing, http://www.Panthic.net has been established as the main network portal where you are one click away from the latest Panthic news and discussions, 24-Kirtan streams, MP3 downloads, and photos.

In spirit of Panthic Chardi-Kala!
