DRI Raids Controversial Chattar Singh Jiwan Singh Firm
Amritsar Sahib (KP) - India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) raided the various properties of the controversial publishing firm, Chattar Singh Jiwan Singh (CSJS), under the suspicion that the firm had shipped drugs in a package of religious books being sent to Canada.
DRI, conducted a raid at Amritsar’s CSJS Hotel, and was investigating the shipment of 5kg of heroin sent by the owners’ son Robbie Sinh to an overseas destination. Â
Reacting to the news, SGPC President Avtar Makkar and Akal Takht Sahib appointed Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh both stated that if the allegations were true, serious actions would be taken against the publishers, again.
The owner’s of the Chattar Singh Jiwan Singh firm have previously been in hot water for improperly printing, transporting and handling saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and were reprimanded by Sri Akal Takht Sahib and many Panthic organizations for their sacrilegious deeds.

A stall was selling Sikhi books in LA at one of the Sikh smagams two years ago.That stall had McLeod’s books displayed. I asked the person at the stall to remove his books and he refused. Then I got two more people with me and he disclosed that they get McLeod’s books for free. When they order books from Bhai Chattar Singh Jeevan Singh, they get McLoed’s books for fee from them. Strange!!!
Police should investigate the matter properly. This is a big news but still it did not catch any attention of the mass media. People in the town are saying they have given a lot money to officials who are investigating the matter so that the case can be burried. This is not fair.

well…it is really sad and heart shocking to note tht people like chattar singh and jeewan singh-quite known firm of asmritsar have dun such a sick and a highly cheap act of sending drugs in religious buks n cds……i thnk strict action shud b taken against thm….

chattar singh jeewan singfh cld actuali low down to such an extent for stupid game of money is not onli shocking but quite shameful….nt onli rubjeet singh bt sumeet singh ,vicky,rumeet, harneet singh are all involved…….they should be strictly punished nd SGPC should CANCEL their license….they have brought disgrace to sikh community…………………..for their greed for money they have dropped so low……..
