Lecherous Baba Pehowa at his Dera
Chandigarh, Punjab (KP) - Colonel G.S Sandhu, Chairman of the Majha Ex-Servicemen Human Rights Front, who fought the battle against the cruelty of so-called Nihang Ajit Singh Poohla, along with Gurmat Mission Foundation Jatha sevadars have called on the Takht Jathedars to fulfill their duties as sevadars of the Sikh Takhts by taking action against the rapist-sadh, Maan Pehova.
In a joint press statement, the organizations criticized the inaction by Vedanti on the multiple complaints filed at Sri Akal Takht Sahib by various families and individuals against the pseudo-Baba from Pehowa.
Col. Sandhu has threatened to launch a serious agitation against the Jathedars if no further action is taken within four weeks. He also ridiculed the various chelays of the Baba as “tutoos” [donkey]; they have been taking out paid advertisements in various domestic and foreign newspapers alleging the Baba had been given a “clean chit” by the Jathedars, and were labeling those that complained against the Baba “Panth Dokhis.”
Various Panthic organizations such as Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Khalsa Alliance, Gurmat Chetna Lehar, Khalsa Jagitri Lehar have also criticized Vendati’s handling of the rapist Baba’s case and that of the recent scuffle between 2 factions of Akali Dal where hired hoodlums attacked Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann and supporters during a function at Kathunangal.
Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann accused Vedanti of playing in the hands of anti-Panthic Parkash Badal and overlooking the misdeeds committed by Chicago Baba Daljit Sinh and Pehova Baba Mann Sinh.
The decision to not review the Pehowa case is seen as a dirty election stunt by the Badal forces in order to garner pro-dera votes of Pehowa and his sympathizers. However, direct interference by such politicians can be seen as a short term manoeuver only, since patience by pro-Panthic organizations is running thin. That is something Vendati will be seriously considering over the next several weeks.
