PROMOTING A THUG
Birmingham, UK (KP) - Much to the surprise of Panthic organizations, UK's Sangat TV (sky channel 847) is advertising Saadh Maan Sinh's UK tour programmes that are taking place between 12th and 20th December at his Dera in West Bromwich, Birmingham.
It needs to be noted that no other Gurdwara Sahib in the UK will book the controversial Saadh’s programmes, so the Saadh made his own Dera in the Midlands. Despite complaints from the Sangat, Sangat TV have still decided to continue advertising the Pakhandi Saadh’s UK programmes.
In November 2010, two of the UK’s Sikh channels, Sangat TV and Sikh Channel, had declined to advertise the Pehova Baba’s UK programme, whereas Sikh TV, which has now closed down, advertised his programmes. Suddenly Sangat TV have made a u-turn on their principals to not advertise or promote controversial individuals.
It is claimed that Sangat TV allowed advertising because his followers presented two genuine letters from the Akal Takht Jathedar, Gurbachan Singh, that gave the Saadh a clean chit.
It is beyond belief that the same TV station that make an uproar that Prakash Badal has been honored by the Takht Jathedars and given the title of Panth Rattan and Fakr-e-Kaum by the Akal Takht Jatehdar and how unjust this was, are now believing that the decision of the same Takht’s Jathedar to give the rapist Saadh a clean chit is acceptable?
Do we need reminding that the same Takht Jathedars gave a clean chit to the rapist Saadh Dhanwant Singh in 2002. When the victim went to Akal Takht Sahib pleading for justice, the so-called Jathedar of the Akal Takht cleared all cases against the Saadh. However, in the law courts of the land the Saadh was proven guilty and he admitted to the Police on 1st September 2002 that he had illicit relations with at least six women at different times, including the one he raped in his dera at Chakki Palli village near Garshankar in Hoshiarpur district.

The same Takht Jathedar, Gurbachan Singh, also gave a clean chit to the gangster-become-saadh, Surinder Singh of village Dhesian Kahna, who has his chair on the same stage as Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and calls himself a Satguru.
Despite the fact that the non-Amritdhari pakhandi baba has the word ‘Satguru’ with the name of his father and grandfather written on the Gurdwara walls, village gate and village bus stop, and his followers bow down to him and he made his followers do Bhangra in Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s presence, he was recognized as a 'Gurmat Parchaarik' by the Jathedar of the Akal Takht Sahib. Again, this is the same Jathedar who gave a clean chit to the Saadh Maan Sinh.
BACKGROUND: POLITICAL LINKS WITH POLICE AND BADAL
Due to close proximity with the ruling Akali Dal Badal regime, the local politicians, and the Punjab Police, no action has been taken against the Baba despite numerous complaints filed by his victims and human right organizations. Instead, the Baba has found convenient way to silence his detractors.

In 2007, a physician who was about the unravel information on the secret abortions performed on several female acquaintances who lived at Baba's Dera was blinded in both eyes after an acid attack by his followers.

Recently Sahib Singh, the Baba’s former assistant was falsely framed on terrorism charges and arrested by the Punjab Police on October 26th , 2010. In news reports Sahib Singh was identified as ‘Jasmail Singh’ and a hard-core member of Babbar Khalsa International who was plotting to kill the Pehowa Baba, and linked him to the murder of pseudo-Nihang Ajit Poohla (see Times of India news report). Although Sahib Singh was arrested on the 26th morning, the police reported it as October 31st. The Baba has used such tactics in the past to blackmail, intimidate or falsify charges in cooperation with the corrupt Punjab Police.

Sahib Singh has been instrumental in exposing the lecherous activities of the Pehova Sadh, and had worked with the Majha Ex-Servicemen Human Rights Front chairmain (Retd) Col. GS Sandhu in bringing forth female victims that Baba had raped and sexually assaulted for the years.

Sahib Singh is still under police custody, his sister Jasvir Kaur recently met with Sikhs for Human Rights Chairman, and Akali Dal Panch Pardhani representative, Harpal Singh Cheema. Sikhs for Human Rights stated that it would be filing an official complaint on behalf of Sahib Singh’s family.
COMMUNITY ALERT!
The UK Sikh Community is urged to boycott this notorious Pehova wala’s programmes and take a strong stand against such charlatans who have molested and assaulted countless innocent devotees under the garb of Sikhi.
