Despite his frail health, Panthic.org Senior Editor Bhai Ratinder Singh discusses the background and psyche behind the anti-Sikh events of 1984
in Madhya Pardes and the Government sponsored genocide perpetuated by
anti-Sikh elements such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Background:
Bhai Ratinder Singh, a respected intellectual, writer, and sevadar of GURSIKH, and Shahbaaz Khalsa organizations, and contributor to Panthic magazines such as Sura, KhandayDhar, Gurmat Parkash, was arrested on fabricated charges during the turbulent 1980's, and became a victim of police excesses, that included harassment, torture, and exposure to poisonous chemicals.
As a result of the difficult conditions of incarceration at the notorious Tihar Prison in Delhi, Bhai Sahib has now dealt with the after effects - chronic health complications and damaged vision in both eyes, and loss of his kes (alopecia totalis).
