London, UK (KP) – Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti’s remarks over Khalistan have continued to earn him the support of foreign based Sikh Organizations. Joining the list with several Panthic Jathebandis from USA and Canada, leaders of Sikh Organizations based in the United Kingdom also came together to honor Jathedar Vedanti for taking a stand in favor of Khalistan while speaking against the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat.
Sikh leadership met with Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti on his short trip to the UK and pledged their support to him. Leaders of several Panthic Jathebandis, including the British Sikh Council, Pakistan Gurdwara Kar Seva Committee, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (UK Branch) and Sikh Federation UK were present at the occasion in Hetchin where Jathedar Vedanti was honored. Sikh leaders appealed to Singh Sahib Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti to stay firm on his stance for Khalistan.
A special kirtan diwan was organized where Sikh Youth from all over the UK joined to sing praises of Almighty God the entire night. Eminent Panthic Kirtanis, including Bhai Harjinder Singh Ji (Sri Nagar Wale), were also present.
Meanwhile, as Jathedar Vedanti returned to Punjab, he has continued to face a complicated situation. Both, the Shiromani Akali Dal (B) President Sukhbir Badal, along with SGPC President Avtar Makkar, have condemned Jathedar Vedanti for speaking in favor of Khalistan. According to close sources, the BJP and RSS organizations have appealed to SAD (B) and SGPC to terminate Jathedar Vedanti’s status as the Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar.
Ever since returning to Punjab, Jathedar Vedanti has not appeared in front of the public media. He is yet to make a statement relating to his stance on Khalistan and Rashtriya Sikh Sangat in front of the media in Punjab.
