ANANDPUR SAHIB (KP)--This past week, the notorious Rozana Spokesman published an article once again criticizing the bani of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The "news" published by the Spokesman raises questions over a so-called "recent discovery" by Principal Surinder Singh of Sikh Missionary College.
It should be mentioned that recently, during his visit to Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Principal Surinder Singh, who is notorious for anti-Dasam Granth Sahib statements, found two saroops with bani of Guru Granth Sahib printed along with Dasam Granth Sahib. Without researching the matter further, Surinder Singh conveyed the information to Rozana Spokesman, which in turn condemned the presence of the saroops.
Such anti-Panthic statements by Rozana Spokesman are totally distressing and unacceptable. With what research and standing has the Rozana Spokesman published the news article condemning the saroops. Was the concern raised and cleared by Akal Takht Sahib before the bani of the Sikh Gurus was condemned by the Spokesman? In addition to these claims, the following remain a reason to be concerned:
-
In its edition published on May 6, Rozana Spokesman refers to saroops of Guru Granth Sahib as "Saroops of Shabad Guru." Is there any other Guru besides Guru Granth Sahib?
-
The publication explicitly states that the saroops were found while researching historical saroops. Does it not stand to reason that these saroops could potentially also be historical?
-
In the same article, it is stated that the bani of Dasam Granth Sahib, starting from Jaap Sahib until the very end, also appears right after the bani of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Doesn’t this finding lead the staff of Rozana Spokesman to wonder why Charitropakhyan’s bani also exists in this Granth?
-
The article calls for a meeting of so-called ‘Panthic Scholars’. The Panth has already passed a resolution seeking a ban on anti-Dasam Granth Sahib propaganda. What will the new, pseudo-conclave, conclude about the newly found saroops.
Panthic Weekly is not in any position to make a definite statement about the existence of these saroops; however we can conclude the fact that Akal Takht Sahib has barred all Sikhs from taking part in anti-Dasam Granth Sahib activities. In addition, Panthic conclaves have in the past challenged anti-Panthic individuals several times to discuss the matter and clear their doubts; however all appeals have been ignored by the notorious Kala Afghana lobby as they seem to only want to stir trouble.
