INDORE, MADHYA PARDES (KP) – As reported earlier (Indore Sikhs Request Sri Akal Takht to Halt Gurdwara Interference) by Khalsa Press, the nefarious individuals allied with the right-wing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have directly hijacked the management of historic Sikh holy shrines in Indore that are associated with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji.
Earlier, concerned Sikhs from Madhya Pardes had sent a memorandum to Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding this direct interference of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Indore (which manages these historical Gurdwara Sahibs) by non-Sikhs and heretics allied with the RSS.
These individuals recently prevented the local sangat from observing and commemorating the victims of the 1984 November Sikh genocide in which thousands of innocent Sikh men, women and children were killed and lynched across India.
Here is a glimpse of Paramjeet Chhabra, the election commissioner for the Sri Guru Singh Sabha which manages the sacred Sikh shrines such as: Gurdwara Imli Sahib, Gurdwa Baoli Sahib, and Gurdwara Onkareshwar Sahib where the sacred Bani of Dakhani Oankaar was revealed.
Regardless of the above evidence, the Takht Jathedars have turned a blind eye towards the open takeover of Sikh historic shrines by RSS sympathizers, and anti-Sikh heretics.
The appointing of Paramjeet Chhabra, an apostate, as the election commissioner for the 70 year-old Sikh institution is directly against Sikh maryada and contrary to the constitution of Sri Guru Singh Sabha.
Local Indore Sikhs have requested Paramjeet Chhabra to step aside from his position since he is not a practicing Sikh, but an apostate, and has no knowledge of Gurmat, Sikh traditions or Sikh history.
Due to close relations between the current management and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president, Avtar Makkar, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar has so far ignored the requests from the Indore sangat. Instead, he has pleaded ignorance of the entire issue.
