1856ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ   Bhai Maharaj Singh Ji Naurangabad, the saintly Sikh leader who was banished to a British prison in Singapore and confined in brutal conditions, passed away.
1943 The Central Sikh League, the predecessor of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, and Akali Dal, was revived - albeit temporary.
1984 To protest against the invasion of the Indian army on the Darbar Sahib Complex, nine Singhs forcibly diverted an Indian Airliner from Jammu to Lahore. The Singhs included: Parminder Singh "Harfam Maula", Dalip Singh, Manjit Singh Babbar, Gurdip Singh Pardesi, Malaghar Singh Babbar, Harbhajan Singh, Harminder Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Ravinder Singh
1986 Mischievous Hindus attacked Sikhs and their property in Kapurthala.
