Images of Babbar Khalsa activists Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and Paramjit Singh Bheora in Chandigarh on their way to their Delhi Court hearings. Dozens of right-wing Hindu extremists along with members of the self-styled "All India Anti-Terrorist Front" had gathered outside the Police Station at Sector-17, and upon seeing Bhai Hawara and Bheora, they began to shout incendiary slogans against Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan.
Both Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and Paramjit Singh Bheora vociferously countered the GOI goons with shouts of “Khalistan Zindabad” and stated that these cheap cronies were sent here on behest of ‘bicycle thief’ Maninderpal Bitta.
Shiromani Akali Dal Panch Pardhani denounced the actions of Bitta's supporters and blamed the Government for orchestrating this protest against the Singhs. Panch Pardhani spokesman Harpal Singh Cheema requested Panthic organizations to come out in support of the imprisoned Singhs at future hearings.
