CURRENT UPDATES (Dec 10th, 2013):

MOHALI, PUNJAB - Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike since November 14th, was released from Chandigarh's PGI Hospital and allowed to return to Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali.

Last week, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh was forcibly abducted from this site by the Punjab Police and locked up in a Ropar Jail in order to break his hunger strike. Fearing a wider backlash, and unable to break Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's will, the authorities released him early Tuesday morning.

To everyone's surprise, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh arrived at the protest site and joined Bhai Damandeep Singh in continuing the indefinite hunger strike and reiterated "ਜਾਂ ਭਾਣਾ ਵਰਤੇਗਾ ਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ", stressing that the protest will continue unless the Singhs are released (from illegal imprisonment).
